2. The work must belong to you. You cannot submit someone else's work, even if you give them credit.

3. The work must be in English. While both the webmistresses are bilingual, the site is printed only in English.

4. Excessive pornography and pointless perversity do not make for a good story. While many good stories contain both pornography and perversity, a story that is nothing but these two elements will never win this contest.

5. Use a spell-check application. Use a grammar check application if you can. If we must wade through constant misspellings and horrible grammatical errors, we will simply discard the entry.

6. Entries must be at least 1,000 words long, and no longer than 15,000 words. Submissions that do not meet this guideline will not be considered for the contest.

7. Winners of the contest will be notified by email. Authors that did not win will not be contacted. If your story does not appear in the update following your submission, you can assume you did not win.

8. Submissions will not be held from one contest to the next. If your story does not win, it will be discarded. DO NOT send the only copy of your story, as it will not be returned. You may submit the same story as often as you like - failing to win one contest does not exclude a story from following contests.

9. By submitting your work of fiction to Sanguinus Curae and this contest, you grant Sanguinus Curae license to publish this work of fiction at www.sanguinus.com indefinitely, free of charge or other compensatory obligation.

10. Both first and second place awards will be given in each contest. A dated version of the sample award graphics below will be mailed to the winners, so they may display them on their websites.
